The International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of Tajikistan (IUTET), in coordination with the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, is organizing the International Forum "Partnership for Sustainable Development: GREEN. DIGITAL. SMART", to be held on April 14-18, 2026.
The Republic of Tajikistan is one of the global leaders in advancing the sustainable development agenda, ensuring the systematic integration of the Sustainable Development Goals into public policy and putting forward international initiatives that have played a significant role in shaping the global agenda in the areas of water and climate security, the protection of glaciers and the cryosphere, environmental sustainability, green economy, digitalization, and the application of artificial intelligence.
The Forum program includes an international scientific and practical conference, sustainable universities' rectors summit, international green business forum, international youth environmental forum, environmental camp in the city of Levakant, exhibition of educational, scientific, and innovation projects, student olympiads, competitions, and start-up initiatives, and sport tourism, as well as cultural and sports events.
Of particular importance are the global initiatives of the Republic of Tajikistan in the form of United Nations resolutions. Over the past 25 years, at the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan, the UN General Assembly has adopted more than 15 resolutions aimed at ensuring sustainable development, protecting the environment, and promoting the green economy.
Participants include government institutions, universities and educational institutions, think-tanks, diplomatic corps and international organizations, private sector and business associations, youth and start-up communities, environmental and volunteer organizations.
The Forum is designed to establish sustainable mechanisms for international cooperation, develop new research and educational projects, build a youth environmental community to implement climate initiatives, expand the green business sector and advance the ESG agenda, and strengthen the IUTET position as an international hub for sustainable development.
